The Relix Vinyl Series has announced the second installment of the series: a vinyl pressing of Goose’s March 19, 2019 session at the Relix headquarters in Manhattan, N.Y. In addition, the series announced that due to overwhelming demand, there will be a second pressing of Circles Around the Sun’s Relix Session on 180-gram red vinyl. The Relix Vinyl Series is powered by Audio Technica.
Circles Around the Sun’s installment dropped on Feb. 26, 2021; their session occurred almost exactly a year prior on Feb. 28, 2020, shortly before the live music world was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, Goose visited the Relix offices on March 19, 2019 for an acoustic session.
“It wasn’t until early in the Covid-19 pandemic that we realized we were sitting on a massive archive of intimate and unique performances from artists at Relix Studios,” Bradley Tucker, co-producer of the Relix Sessions, explained. “It seemed like a great way to help support the artists by releasing the individual sessions in full as a limited edition series for the hard core fans and vinyl enthusiasts.”
