Coach's Corner: Mr. Action was dedicated to the crew and entire Goose team. The band came out for the second set dressed in all white and Dr. Darkness through Madhuvan were performed with only black and white lights and visuals on the screen behind the stage. At the stroke of midnight, colour returned to the stage.

Goose Finds The Light On New Year’s Eve In Cincinnati

Goose ended 2022, the band’s most successful year to date, with a New Year’s Eve show at the Andrew J Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, OH that was a monumental jam fest full of references to the future, love, and the dichotomy of darkness and light. The band opened firing on all cylinders with “All I Need”, reminding its loyal fans that as they journey into a new year “Things change but, you don’t realize, you have all you need.” Next, the band launched into two tunes off its 2022 album, Dripfield, with “Borne”, a gorgeous song that began sweet and slow but reached a massive peak before morphing directly into “Hungersite” with its (likely rhetorical) question “Is it time to shed our weapons yet, my friend?”

Over the weekend on Dec. 30 and 31, Goose descended upon Cincinnati’s Andrew J Brady Music Center for two evenings of silky New Year’s Eve celebrations. The first evening saw many beloved songs and was declared “Goose Day” by the City’s mayor, Aftab Pureval, while the final day of 2022 saw two live debuts.Goose opened their first set of the run with “Elizabeth” into a cover of The National’s “Bloodbuzz Ohio.”

Goose celebrated New Year’s Eve with the second of two concerts held last weekend at Cincinnati’s Andrew J Brady Music Center. The show on December 31 saw the Connecticut-born band present a colorful second set. Goose’s New Year’s Eve concert came a day after Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval declared December 30 as “Goose Day.” Both shows featured two sets, with Saturday’s New Year’s extravaganza starting off with “All I Need” to open the show, played in its slow and melodic arrangement.

2022 might have been the year of the tiger, but easily could have been the year of Goose, as this band achieved numerous significant milestones. From selling out Radio City Music Hall and Red Rocks, to a co-headlining fall tour with the Trey Anastasio band, this Norwalk, CT based squad literally lived out their own dreams last year. This remarkable year closed out in style for this jam rock band at the Andrew J Brady Center in their second home of Cincinnati, Ohio on December 31, 2022.
